Now Hiring: HVAC Apprentice

Pay: $16–$18/hr to start, with raises as you build skills
Location: Denton, TX
Schedule: Full-time

Client Services

You're often the first friendly voice our customers hear — and sometimes the last one before we show up at their door.

​

  • Answer calls fast (we aim for two rings, not ten)

  • Get service visits on the calendar and keep sales leads moving

  • Manage customer subscriptions and take payments

  • Handle registrations and rebate paperwork

  • Coordinate city inspections

​

Basically, you're the one making sure every customer's experience feels smooth from that first call to the final invoice.

Installation Technician

New system, new setup — you're the one who makes sure it's done right the first time.

​

  • Install residential heating and air systems to manufacturer specs and local code

  • Test every system thoroughly before calling the job done

  • Walk each customer through how their new system works

  • Leave the jobsite as clean as you found it

Service Technician

You're the technician homeowners across Denton and North Texas call when something's not working right — and the one who makes it right again.

  • Diagnose and repair heating and cooling issues in the field

  • Communicate clearly with customers about what's wrong and what it'll take to fix it

  • Spot replacement opportunities when a repair isn't the long-term answer

  • Represent Cogburn's with the same honesty and care we've built our name on since 1999

Replacement Sales

When a customer's system is on its way out, you're the one who helps them make sense of the options — no pressure, just clarity.

  • Follow up on replacement opportunities flagged by our technicians

  • Build trust with homeowners through honest, straightforward conversations

  • Walk customers through system options and financing

  • Guide each homeowner to the solution that actually fits their home and budget​

At the end of the day, customers should feel like they got real advice, not a sales pitch.

Marketing Assistant

You help make sure Denton and the surrounding communities know who Cogburn's is — and why we're worth calling.

  • Support ad campaigns and promotional materials

  • Manage and grow our social media presence

  • Help keep our online presence consistent and up to date across Denton, Corinth, Argyle, Flower Mound, and the rest of our service area

  • Assist with day-to-day marketing tasks as we grow
